Welcome!

This is going to be a bit of my story and background. Here is where you’ll find out some things about my past and some ideas about the future… intrigued? Keep reading, then!

How did all this start?

The beginning of a passion is always a gift. In this case, it all started with my first camera when I was like 7 years old (2001).

My uncle gave me a silver Sony Cyber-Shot, a compact camera that showed me the magic of immortalising moments and scenarios. I really enjoyed waiting for the best moment and light to take the perfect shot.

I remember at my parents place, in the mountains, spending the whole autumn taking pics of the sunset (it was autumn when we could see the most amount of colours in the sky). I loved it because it was completely different every day! It could be yellow, red, purple, blue, cloudy, clear… It was just unexpected and it was literally impossible to take the same picture twice. And even more! I had to be fast if I wanted to take the perfect shot, because it is crazy how fast the sun hides at sunset!

Then, when I was older (21 years old) I fulfilled my dream of going to Australia. It was there where I discovered my passion of taking pictures of animals. The fauna of this country is… just amazing. I lived there for 6 months. I travelled around the country, and also to Indonesia. I saw animals I had never seen before! And, obviously, I started taking pictures of every single one of them.

I will never forget the first time I saw a kangaroo! We were driving in a road trip and out of a sudden a huge one crossed the road just in front of us. We stopped the car and jumped out to see it closer, even tho the poor animal was already far from us. After that, we just didn’t stop seeing kangaroos. To the point that after 30 minutes we were not even surprised to see another one.

But what I discovered while taking pictures of them, is the connection you establish with the animal when you try to take a picture of it. By nature, they tend to run away from humans, so the key is to achieve the moment that the animal decides not to run away and will let you take the pic. This moment is just… inexplicable. And must say I have the little mania of saying “Thank you” to the animal every time I finish shooting. I think it’s licit.

What about now ?

So after years of pictures and trips I decided it was time to show all my work for all this people that, like you, enjoy traveling and nature as much as I do.

I also defend we have to take care of this planet, and I really think that showing its purest and wildest side will help people to understand why is this so important. I want people to re-discover the planet and enjoy all the greatness it brings to us.

With this site I pretend to take you closer to every place in the world I go, showing you its culture, its fauna, and explain you a bit of each country while I’m there (places, tips, experiences…).

I really hope you enjoy it!

Welcome!
